Born in Barcelona in 1979, Pau Casan studied piano with Carme Agustí in the Academia Marshall and finished his degree with Professor Miquel Farré in the Conservatori Superior  Municipal de Música de Barcelona, being awarded a honorable mention at the highest level. He has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Piano Performance with Gordon Fergus-Thompson and Roger Vignoles at the Royal College of Music of London. He has taken master’s classes with Paul Badura-Skoda, Alícia de Larrocha, Joaquín Nin-Culmell, Nelly Ben Ohr, Sam Rotman and Andrew Ball. Mr. Casan has also been honored for his academic work in harmony, chamber music and accompaniment. He has been awarded the 3rd Prize in the 33rd Catalan Young Pianists Competition, the 1st Prize in the Joan Massià Competition, the ‘best pianist’ Prize in the 22nd Berga City Competition, as well as important scholarships such as the Pedro Pons Foundation. As a soloist he has performed around Spain, the UK and in Colombia, while he has played as an accompanist in Spain, France, Portugal, the UK, Denmark and Colombia. He has recorded three CDs, the last one in memoriam to the composer Joaquín Nín-Culmell. Nowadays he combines giving recitals with teaching at the Conservatori del Liceu and Palau de la Música in Barcelona.
 
Guillem Calvo began learning the violin at the age of four with Albert Sàrrias. He continued his musical studies at the Liceu Conservatori in Barcelona with Evelio Tieles and then at the Royal College of Music with violin professor Yossi Zivoni. He is currently studying with Shmuel Ashkenazy as part of the Advanced Course for Soloists at the Lübeck Musikhochschule in Germany. Guillem has toured Spain, Italy, France, Germany and England as a member of various chamber groups. He has also performed with internationally renowned conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Sir Colin Davis, Bertrand de Billy, and Valery Gergiev in orchestras including "Orquestra de la Òpera del Liceu", and the London Symphony Orchestra with whom he made his debut as a soloist in November 2007.
